Cooperation vs. Competition with Sarah Ellersick, Liyah Lopez, and Sammy Needham

Female rivalry is real, especially in sports. But competition within a team, rather than cooperation, can have negative effects on your individual and collective success.

Join Sarah, Liyah, and Sammy, student athletes at Santa Clara University, as they talk candidly about the sisterhood in sports, how teamwork transcends the game, and the importance of always having each other’s backs.

Sarah Ellersick, Liyah Lopez, and Sammy Needham are NCAA Division I softball teammates as well as friends and roommates off the field. They are eager to share their stories and experiences with younger athletes as part of the HERicanes cascading mentorship program.

Private event for Category 2 HERicanes (teen girl athletes) of Pioneer High School Girls Water Polo Team.
