HERicane Hannah: Meteorology and Women in STEM

Only 29% of broadcast meteorologists are women and, as one of that number, Hannah Scholl wants to inspire the next generation of women in STEM. She will share her experience as a woman in one of the top meteorology schools in the country and what it took to become a TV meteorologist.

After graduating from The University of Oklahoma with her degree in meteorology, Hannah Scholl started working at CBS 19 in Charlottesville, VA. During her time at OU, she juggled a rigorous academic schedule with D1 Women's Rowing and working for the campus TV station. She has spoken to numerous classrooms about her job as a meteorologist and loves to answer any questions about the weather.

SpeakHER Event for Category 1 HERicanes (girls 9-12) and Category 2 HERicanes (teen girls).
